  I only gave one star because I can't leave it at 0. I have been waiting SIX MONTHS for my divorce decree, which I need to file contempt of court on my ex husband. I have had 2 separate cases of child abuse filed against me because my ex husband is trying to get sole custody of my son. Both times they have found no evidence of child abuse obviously, but he is holding him from me and so far I have gone 3 different extended periods without being able to see my son that I have joint custody of. One time was over 1 month, the second was 3 weeks, and I am 1 week into the latest stint. I have asked for my decree multiple times and my lawyer has written letters to the court asking for it. I lost custody in Hawaii to my ex husband who at the time had no job, no stable home, and was emotionally unstable, and I wasn't even given a reason as to why that decision was made. The only clause in the order was that I would have 50/50 joint custody if I moved to his home state where he relocated to where I have no friends, family, or support. So far, I have handled everything as an adult should, but him and his girlfriend continually harass me and falsely accuse me of abusing my son and all I have is a piece of paper that no one can enforce until I have a divorce decree. All I can do is file a complaint and get a complaint number every time he doesn't show up with my son. I have spent over $30,000 and a year of my life trying to free myself of my emotionally abusive ex husband and I feel as though this court did not take any of my evidence into account and that a horrible decision was made. I have hit nothing but dead ends with this courthouse and I have not been taken seriously. My son will forever have the emotional scars from this encounter and I hope to God that he doesn't remember it.
